Comparison

Voxbi vs Sewan: what you can compare, and what you can't

Sewan publishes no prices and sells through integrator partners. Voxbi publishes every rate and contracts directly. An honest, sourced comparison.

Voxbi vs Sewan: what you can compare, and what you can't

Short version: Sewan is a French cloud and telecoms operator that sells mainly through IT integrators and telecom installers. It publishes no prices, no plan names and no service terms on its website, so the person quoting you is usually a reseller rather than Sewan itself. Voxbi publishes every price and rate on its own site and contracts with you directly. If you want one supplier for telephony, internet, security and Microsoft licences — or you have a French health-data requirement — Sewan is likely the better fit. If you want to compare suppliers on published terms and sign with the operator that holds your numbers, Voxbi is.

Sewan's business telephony page, captured 21 August 2026. No price is published on this or any other Sewan product page.

The short answer

The two companies sell in fundamentally different ways, and that difference matters more than any feature list.

Sewan is a genuine European operator, founded in 2007, with its own numbering in France, a Belgian operating entity, and a catalogue that runs well past telephony into internet access, SD-WAN, firewalls, endpoint security, Microsoft 365 and cloud hosting. It reaches most customers through a partner network of integrators, installers and IT companies, who order and manage everything through Sewan's own platform, Sophia. Those partners set the retail price. Sewan itself publishes none.

Voxbi is a cloud PBX operated by Mixvoip SA in Luxembourg. It publishes its plan prices, its per-destination call rates and its service levels, and it sells both self-service and as a managed service. The trade-off runs the other way: a narrower catalogue, no internet lines, no firewalls, no Microsoft licensing.

Neither model is better in the abstract. They suit different buyers, and the honest way to choose between them is to work out which of the two things you actually value.

Which plans are genuinely comparable?

This is where the comparison becomes awkward, and it is better to say so than to fudge it.

Sewan publishes no plan tiers at all. There is no entry plan, no business plan, no enterprise plan, no add-on price list, and no free tier or public trial. Every product page ends in a demo request form. Its published conditions of use cover the website only and state that subscribing to the services is governed by separate conditions of sale — which are not published on the site. Checked 21 August 2026.

That means there is no plan to pair Voxbi against. What we can do is describe the shape of the match:

Against Voxbi One (self-service, from €0 to €3.10 per user per month) there is no Sewan equivalent, because Sewan publishes no self-service route — you cannot buy Sewan telephony without a sales conversation. Against Voxbi Managed Business (€11.20 per user per month standard, €17.60 with the flat-rate calling package) the Sewan hosted telephony product is the right category match — managed operation, professional call handling, supervision — but there is no named tier, no published support commitment and no published service level to test the match against.

You should be sceptical of any comparison article that shows you a Sewan price. Price lists that appear in search results belong to Sewan's resellers, and they are those resellers' own retail prices with their own margin, support and contract on top. They are not Sewan's, and quoting them as Sewan's would be wrong.

Self-service comparison

There isn't one. Voxbi One runs from a free tier for up to three users to €3.10 per user per month, all self-service, all with email support included and none with telephone support or a service level with downtime credits. Sewan publishes no self-service product, so the row on their side reads: no public information available.

How each supplier reaches the buyer, and where the price becomes visible.

What comparable packages cost

We can publish Voxbi's costs in full because Voxbi publishes them. We cannot publish Sewan's, because Sewan does not. The tables below therefore show one side only, and say so.

Assumptions for every table: all figures exclude VAT; monthly billing; one phone number for the whole company, not one per user, charged separately on Voxbi Managed at the published monthly phone price — Voxbi Managed does not carry the separate €1.60 Voxbi One number charge; Microsoft Teams Phone licences bought from Microsoft are excluded on both sides; handsets are excluded; the flat-rate row includes eligible calls, and the standard row does not.

For a smaller team without a service level requirement, Voxbi One Plus is €2.90 per user per month with numbers at €1.60 each and calls metered — so ten users with ten numbers is €45.00 per month before call charges. Voxbi One includes email support on every plan; telephone support and a contractual service level belong to the Managed line. All Voxbi figures are from voxbi.com/pricing, checked 21 August 2026.

Voxbi's published monthly cost, excluding VAT. Sewan publishes no price, so no bar can be drawn.

Calling conditions and what to check

Voxbi's flat-rate package follows the Mixvoip flat-rate conditions: unlimited calls to more than 130 destinations, not available for call centres, not permitted with predictive diallers or automated calling systems, and fax excluded. On the metered plans, Voxbi One Plus uses the Zone International scope covering more than 140 destinations, and the full rate card carries more rows than that scope — so check the destination you actually call. Sewan's fixed-telephony calling terms, fair-use rules and destination scope are not published; on mobile, Sewan describes unlimited voice and SMS plans with data fair use and international data across 177 countries.

Because Sewan's commercial terms only appear in a quote, the most useful thing this page can give you is the list of questions that quote needs to answer:

  1. Which company will the contract be with — Sewan or a reseller — and what is its registered name and number?

  2. What is the monthly cost per user, and what is deliberately not in it?

  3. What do numbers cost to activate and to keep, and what do calls cost per minute by destination?

  4. How long is the commitment, what is the notice period, and what does leaving early cost?

  5. Is there a written service level with an availability figure and credits? Whose is it, and what does it exclude?

  6. What are the support hours, in which languages, and is first-line support Sewan's or the reseller's?

  7. How long are call recordings kept, and how do we export them?

  8. If we leave, who submits the porting request and how long does it take?

  9. Can we reduce the number of users mid-term?

  10. How is the price allowed to change at renewal?

What a quote should tell you before you sign, whichever supplier it comes from.

Where Sewan is stronger

One supplier for the whole stack. Sewan sells business telephony, mobile, contact centre, internet access, SD-WAN, firewalls, endpoint protection, Microsoft 365, servers and data centre capacity, ordered and invoiced through one platform. Voxbi does telephony and the things attached to it. If consolidating suppliers is the point of the exercise, Sewan wins that argument outright and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise.

Health-data hosting. Sewan states on its own site that it holds HDS certification, the French standard required to host personal health data, audited annually, alongside ISO 27001. Mixvoip does not hold HDS. For a French healthcare buyer with HDS in the tender, that is close to decisive.

Contact centre depth. Contact Experience is a real contact-centre product: intelligent numbers in France and internationally, advanced IVR including natural-language voice recognition, ACD and queues, escalation and overflow schemes, real-time supervision with discreet listening and whisper, click-to-call, web call-back, SMS campaigns and business-continuity routing, with statistics feeding back into Sophia. Voxbi has queues, routing and analytics in the PBX; it is not a contact-centre platform.

Local hands across four countries. Sewan's partner network of integrators and installers spans France, Spain, Belgium and the Netherlands. If you have sites scattered across those markets and want someone physically present at each, that network is an asset.

Microsoft licensing on the same invoice. Sewan is a Cloud Services Provider 2-Tier distributor, so Microsoft 365 licences and telephony arrive together.

Belgian roots. Sewan Belgium is the former 3StarsNet, a Belgian VoIP operator trading since the 1990s, now running mobile as a light MVNO on the Proximus network. In Belgium they are an incumbent, not a newcomer.

Where Voxbi is stronger

You can see the price. Every Voxbi plan price and every per-destination call rate is published at voxbi.com/pricing and voxbi.com/pricing/call-rates. You can build a budget, compare three suppliers and brief your board without speaking to anybody. With Sewan, the number arrives at the end of a sales process and depends on which partner you happen to be talking to.

You contract with the operator. Mixvoip holds the numbers, runs the platform and signs the contract. There is no intermediary whose margin, terms or support depth you have to assess separately.

Published service levels. Voxbi Managed carries a service level with an availability target and downtime credits, published at mixvoip.com/sla. Voxbi One includes email support on every plan and does not carry telephone support or a service level — we publish that limitation too. No Sewan service level, support hours or availability target is published.

Luxembourg and the Greater Region. Mixvoip is registered as an operator in Luxembourg and publishes registrations across fifteen jurisdictions at mixvoip.com/legal/impressum/, with ISO 27001 certificates covering Belgium, Germany and Luxembourg. Sewan's own Europe page names France, Spain, Belgium and the Netherlands; there is no published Luxembourg presence.

Odoo. Voxbi ships a native Odoo integration. No Odoo module or integration is published by Sewan.

A documented API and self-service start. Voxbi publishes API documentation at docs.voxbi.com, and you can start on the free plan today.

Both companies host in the European Union, and neither should be used as a stick to beat the other with on data residency. The real differences are which regulator has registered the supplier for your country, whether you can read the contract before the sales call, and — for health data specifically — whether HDS is on the certificate.

Switching from Sewan

We have deliberately not invented a timeline here. Sewan does not publish a customer-facing porting process, notice period or porting fee, and your contract may be with a reseller rather than with Sewan, so the terms that bind you are the ones in that document.

  1. Check who you are contracted with, and read that contract. Find the end date, the notice period and any early-termination charge. This is the step people skip and regret.

  2. Give notice in writing, in the window the contract specifies.

  3. Export what you need before the account closes. Call history and recordings do not travel with a ported number. Ask how long your recordings are kept and get them out first.

  4. Submit the porting request through the gaining operator. Voxbi submits it on your behalf; you do not file it yourself.

  5. Rebuild the call flows. IVR menus, queues, ring policies and time-based routing are recreated in the Voxbi Cockpit. There is no import path between the two systems. Greetings and hold music are re-recorded or re-uploaded.

  6. Test in parallel before the numbers move, and register the emergency-calling installation address afresh.

  7. Cut over, ideally landing at the end of a contract term rather than in the middle of one.

Handsets are usually reusable, since both services are standard SIP, but check your model against Voxbi's tested device list before assuming a saving. And note one thing specific to the Sewan model: if your internet access, firewall or Microsoft licences are on the same partner agreement as your telephony, moving the phones may not be a clean separation. Ask what happens to the rest.

The sequence for switching. The timing of each step depends on the contract you signed.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Sewan cost?

Sewan publishes no prices on its website, for any product, as of 21 August 2026. Prices come from the reselling partner as a quote. Any figure you find online attributed to Sewan is almost certainly a reseller's own retail price.

Can I buy Sewan directly?

Sewan's site is built around its partner channel and its only public route in is a demo request form. Whether and to whom it sells directly is not published.

Does Sewan publish a service level agreement?

Not on its website. No availability target, credit mechanism, support hours or uptime figure is published. That does not mean no service level exists — it will be in the contract you are offered — but you cannot read it in advance.

Is Sewan a real telecoms operator?

Yes. It holds numbering resources in France, publishes a regulatory reference offer, and operates in Belgium through Sewan Belgium as a licensed operator and light mobile virtual network operator on the Proximus network.

Does Sewan work with Microsoft Teams?

Yes. Sewan publishes a Teams telephony offer inside Microsoft Teams. Its specific connection method isn't confirmed on Sewan's public pages, so we can't say whether it matches Voxbi's Direct Routing architecture. Voxbi provides managed Direct Routing with the session border controller on its side.

Does Sewan work with Odoo?

No Odoo integration is published on sewan.fr as of 21 August 2026. Voxbi's Odoo integration is native.

Which countries can each supplier give me numbers in?

Sewan publishes no number-coverage list. Voxbi's published number countries are Germany, France, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy and Portugal. Mixvoip, which operates Voxbi, is a registered Luxembourg operator, so confirm Luxembourg numbering directly rather than assuming it from the pricing page.

Which is better for a contact centre?

Sewan, on the published evidence. Contact Experience is a purpose-built contact-centre product with advanced IVR, ACD, real-time supervision and multichannel campaign tools. Voxbi has queues, routing and analytics, which suits a business phone system rather than a contact-centre operation. Note also that the Voxbi flat-rate calling package is explicitly not available for call centres.

The verdict

Choose Sewan if you want one supplier for telephony, connectivity, security and Microsoft licences on a single invoice; if you need a real contact-centre platform; if you have a French health-data requirement where HDS certification is non-negotiable; or if you already trust an IT integrator who happens to be a Sewan partner. That last one is a better reason than it sounds — a good integrator who knows your building is worth a lot, and a price list will not displace them.

Choose Voxbi if you want to compare suppliers on published prices and published terms before anyone calls you; if you want your contract to be with the operator that actually holds your numbers; if you need a service level you can read today rather than negotiate later; if you run Odoo; or if you are in Luxembourg or the Greater Region, where Sewan publishes no presence at all.

The one thing we will not tell you is which is cheaper. Nobody outside Sewan's partner network can know that, and we are not going to guess.
