API access

A robust API for custom integrations, compatible with Make and Zapier.

Voxbi exposes a RESTful API so your development team can connect the phone system directly to the other tools your business runs on. Whether you want to pull call history into a dashboard, trigger actions when a call starts, retrieve recordings for compliance review, or send SMS messages programmatically, the API gives you the access points to build it yourself.

The documentation lives at docs.voxbi.com. An API key is issued from the integration dashboard, all communication is HTTPS-encrypted, and usage limits are clearly defined so you can plan capacity with confidence.

When you'd use API access

  • A development team building a custom CRM or ERP integration that needs to log calls, retrieve call recordings, or display caller data inside their own application.

  • An operations team using Make or Zapier to build automated workflows, for example sending a Slack message or creating a support ticket whenever a call ends.

  • An IT team that needs to query call history programmatically to feed reporting tools or audit logs outside the Voxbi Cockpit.

How API access works in Voxbi

  1. Get your API key

In the Voxbi Cockpit under Server Provisioning, your administrator generates a secure API key. All requests are made over HTTPS using that key for authentication.

  2. Read the documentation

The full endpoint reference is available at docs.voxbi.com, covering telephony control, call history, call recordings, SMS, and Microsoft calendar integration.

  3. Build or connect your workflow

Your developers call the endpoints directly, or you use a no-code automation platform. Voxbi's API is compatible with Make and Zapier, so many common workflows can be assembled without writing code.

  4. Monitor usage

The API enforces clearly defined rate and usage limits, giving your team predictable performance and a clear signal if a workflow is generating unexpected volume.

Frequently asked questions

What can I do through the API?

The documented areas cover telephony (initiating and managing calls), call history retrieval, access to call recordings, SMS sending and receiving, and Microsoft calendar integration for scheduling. Refer to docs.voxbi.com for the current endpoint list.

How is the API secured?

All API communication runs over HTTPS. Authentication uses an API key issued from within the Voxbi Cockpit. Usage limits are enforced to protect system stability.

Where do I find the endpoint documentation?
