Caller insight cards

See the caller’s name, last calls, tickets, and billing info from your CRM on every incoming call.

Caller insight cards give your team a view of who is calling before the conversation starts. When a call comes in and Voxbi recognises the number, a card surfaces the caller's name, company, and relevant context from your connected business tools. Instead of answering blind and asking "who am I speaking with?", your team member can greet the caller by name and already know the basics of their account.

The information shown depends on what Voxbi can see. When connected to Odoo, the card pulls the customer's name, their last calls, open tickets, and recent activities directly from the CRM record. Even on desk phones, where a softphone screen is not available, Voxbi pushes the correct caller information so the display shows the right name. For calls where no contact record exists, the caller's number is shown and the Voxbi app offers a quick path to create a new contact on the spot.

When you'd use caller insight cards

  • A customer support team handling calls from existing customers: seeing the caller's name and recent ticket activity before picking up means the agent can acknowledge the issue immediately rather than spending the first minute gathering information.

  • A sales team working with a CRM: when a prospect calls back, the rep sees the company name and last interaction before saying hello, letting them continue the conversation where it left off.

  • A small business where the owner handles calls personally: knowing who is calling from any device, including a desk phone, means every caller gets a personal response rather than a generic greeting.

How caller insight cards work in Voxbi

  1. Connect Voxbi to your contact sources

Caller identification draws from the shared contact directory in the Voxbi Cockpit. For richer context, connect an Odoo integration via the Integrations section: this allows Voxbi to match incoming numbers against Odoo CRM records and pull live data from them.

  2. Receive a call and see the card

When a call arrives, Voxbi looks up the incoming number in the contact directory and any connected CRM. If a match is found, the Voxbi app displays the caller's name, company, and available context from the record before you answer.

  3. See the same information on desk phones

When Odoo is connected, Voxbi pushes caller information to desk phones as well, so the display shows the correct name and company regardless of which device your team uses.

  4. Use call history and AI summaries for added context

After calls are completed, the Voxbi app's call history shows each call with optional AI-generated summaries covering the key topics and automatically detected labels. This lets agents review the last conversation with a customer before calling back.

Frequently asked questions

What information appears on the caller insight card?

When a caller's number matches a contact record, you see at minimum the contact name. With the Odoo integration active, the card can also show the caller's company, their most recent calls, open support tickets, and CRM activities, depending on what is recorded in Odoo for that contact.

Does caller identification work on desk phones, or only in the Voxbi app?

Voxbi pushes caller information to desk phones as well. When a recognised number calls in, the phone display shows the matched contact name. This applies to physical SIP phones provisioned through Voxbi, not just the softphone app.

What happens if the caller is not in any contact list?

If the number is not matched to a contact, the raw number is displayed. In the Voxbi app, you have a quick option to add the number as a new contact directly from the call view, so you can build your directory over time.

Is AI call summarisation part of the insight feature?

The AI summary is a separate but related capability. After a call ends, calls that have been transcribed and summarised show a marker in your call history. Clicking through reveals the topic, key keywords, and auto-generated labels for that call. This complements caller insight cards by giving agents context about past conversations when they look up a caller's history.
