External call storage
Store call recordings in your own cloud storage for compliance and easy retrieval.
Call recordings are only as useful as your ability to find, access, and keep them. When recordings live exclusively on a phone system's default storage, you are dependent on that system's retention limits, access controls, and availability. External call storage changes that: instead of recordings sitting in Voxbi's own store, they are sent to a cloud storage location your organisation controls, where your own policies apply.
This matters most where compliance is involved. Regulated industries often require recordings to be retained for specific periods, stored in auditable locations, or accessible to compliance officers on demand. With external call storage, those recordings sit in an environment you already manage, integrated with your existing storage infrastructure, retrieval processes, and access controls. It also makes large-scale retrieval more practical: searching and downloading recordings from a cloud storage location you operate is straightforward.
When you'd use external call storage
A financial services firm must retain call recordings for a defined period under MiFID II or a similar regulatory framework, and needs those recordings in a compliant, auditable storage environment it controls.
A customer service team wants recordings archived in its existing cloud storage account so that quality reviewers can access them without logging into the phone system.
An IT team wants to apply its own retention, deletion, and backup policies to call recordings, rather than relying on whatever the phone platform defaults to.
