Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC)
One number across mobile and desk phone, carried over the mobile network for rock-solid quality. Available in Belgium and Luxembourg through our partner Mixvoip.
Fixed Mobile Convergence bridges your company's fixed phone system and your employees' mobile phones at the network level. Instead of relying on a data connection or an app, calls are routed through Mixvoip's mobile network, which means your business number stays live and stable even in areas with poor data coverage. Every call, inbound and outbound, passes through Voxbi, so features like time-based routing, voicemail, call forwarding, and call records work exactly as they do on a desk phone.
This is a co-promoted offering available in Belgium and Luxembourg through Voxbi's telco partner Mixvoip, which supplies the FMC SIM card and manages the underlying mobile network connection. Setup requires a dedicated Mixvoip SIM card; it is not self-serve software you configure alone.
When you'd use fixed mobile convergence
A sales team whose members are often out of the office but must still show the company number and have their calls logged centrally.
A company in a regulated sector (such as financial services) that needs all outbound calls recorded in one place regardless of whether they were made from a desk or a mobile phone.
An organisation that wants employees to enjoy a genuine right to disconnect: because the FMC number cannot be called directly, the Voxbi PBX controls all routing, so a user who is set to "Away" in the system will not receive calls on their mobile.
