Right to disconnect
Set your status once and calls stop ringing your mobile when you are off work.
The right to disconnect is the idea that employees should be able to step away from work communications without being interrupted, and that the phone system should actively support this rather than leave it to chance. Voxbi makes this practical through two interlocking tools: presence statuses and schedules. Together they ensure that a call reaches a person only when that person is genuinely reachable, and goes somewhere appropriate when they are not.
This matters most for businesses where staff use the same Voxbi number across their working day and outside it. Without clear availability controls, every after-hours call either rings through to someone who has finished for the day or falls into voicemail with no logic behind which calls land where. With them, each person's boundaries are enforced by the system, not by willpower.
When you'd use right to disconnect controls
A company wants inbound calls to the main number to route to an after-hours voicemail or on-call person after a defined close of business time, so no individual's phone rings unless they are on a scheduled shift.
A remote team works across time zones and each person needs their calls to respect their local working hours, handled through per-person status settings rather than a single company-wide schedule.
An employer wants to give employees an easy way to signal unavailability (for a meeting, for a day off, for the end of their shift) and have the phone system honour it automatically without requiring anyone to forward calls manually.
