Voicemail
Greet callers with a recorded, uploaded, or text-to-speech message when you are unavailable.
When you cannot answer, a voicemail box makes sure the caller is not left with a dead end. Instead of a generic tone or a busy signal, they hear a greeting you have set up and then leave a message. You pick it up later, in your own time, without losing the lead or the conversation.
Voxbi voicemail is part of the call flow system. Your administrator places a voicemail step anywhere in a call flow: after a ring group times out, as a direct destination for a number, or as the overflow when a queue is full. Each voicemail box can have its own greeting, created three ways: you record and upload an audio file, you type a script and the built-in text-to-speech engine reads it aloud, or you speak a message directly. Voicemail messages can also be forwarded to your email so you never need to check a separate inbox.
When you'd use voicemail
A user or team line needs to accept messages outside office hours, when no one is available to answer.
A call queue overflows after the wait time limit and callers should be offered the chance to leave a message rather than be disconnected.
A specific number should always go straight to voicemail: for example, a dedicated feedback line or a number on a printed form.
